Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI) is one of the largest providers of care to children and adults with Autism, developmental disabilities, and other special needs. Serving over 1,500 individuals on Long Island for more than 50 years, DDI offers educational, residential, day habilitation, and vocational services.

Job Details

Salary: $24.00 - $26.40/hour

Shifts Available: Full-time

What You'll Do
  • Supervise staff activities daily; evaluate performance and administer disciplinary actions
  • Implement emergency procedures and handle crisis situations appropriately
  • Obtain and maintain AMAP Certification within the first 90 days
  • Train and supervise new staff, ensuring active treatment for individuals served
  • Assist Program Manager with staff issues, disputes, and paperwork
  • Document goals and protocols in line with CFA/ISP
  • Implement Behavior Plans and monitor progress
  • Participate in developing and revising goals, protocols, and Behavior Plans
  • Attend medical appointments with individuals
  • Complete incident and SCIP-R reports
  • Participate in team meetings, staff trainings, and recertifications
What You Offer Us
  • High School Diploma required; BA/BS preferred
  • At least 1 year experience working with developmentally disabled adults
  • Valid NYS driver’s license and approval to drive
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and Positive Behavioral Support
