Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI) is one of the largest providers of care to children and adults with Autism, developmental disabilities, and other special needs. Serving Long Island for over 50 years, DDI supports over 1,500 individuals through educational, residential, day habilitation, and vocational services.

Job Details

Salary: $24.00 - $26.40/hour

Shifts Available: Mon: 2 pm - 9 pm, Tues/Wed: 7 am - 2 pm, Thurs: 2 pm - 9 pm, Sun: 9 am - 9 pm

What You'll Do

• Supervise staff activities daily, including evaluations and disciplinary actions
• Implement emergency procedures effectively during crises
• Obtain and maintain AMAP Certification within the first 90 days
• Train and supervise new staff, ensuring active treatment for individuals served
• Assist with staff issues, disputes, and paperwork
• Document goals and protocols per CFA/ISP
• Implement Behavior Plans and monitor progress
• Attend medical appointments with individuals
• Complete incident and SCIP-R reports
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and protocol revisions

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; BA/BS preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience with developmentally disabled adults
• Valid NYS driver’s license
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and Positive Behavioral Support
