Job summary

Devereux Connecticut is seeking an Assistant Residence Manager to oversee daily operations of a residence, lead shifts in the Residence Manager's absence, and help implement ISP/IPP plans in a supportive team setting.

Responsibilities include medication certification maintenance, thorough documentation, inventory control, and coordination of meals, with a focus on safety and compliance in a residential program for individuals with IDD.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher preferred; BS/BA accepted.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Valid CT Driver's License required.
• Be flexible, patient, energetic and creative.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Strong passion for helping children and adults with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Implement the daily operation of the assigned residence and function as shift leader in the absence of the Residence Manager.
• Assist in the planning and carry out of ISP/IPP Plans.
• Maintain mandated CT DDS medication certification and dispense medication as assigned.
• Ensure all required documentation is completed (daily logs, MyAvatar, staff communication logs, data collection, bed checks).
• Responsible for student/resident clothing and property inventories.
• Complete client/house money ledgers as spending occurs with RM involvement.
• Complete wage spreadsheet and banking as pay checks are received with RM.
• Supervise and assist with house meals.
