Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of nursing services, nursing administration, rehabilitation, geriatric nursing, the MDS, and its computer application (EMR).
• Strong managerial, organizational, planning, computer, and interpersonal abilities to initiate, complete and update care plans.
• Ability to conduct in-service training of nursing staff on care plans, documentation, and EMR application.
• Ability to monitor resident EMR records for consistency and content.
• Ability to communicate problems to the DON and staff in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Must have working knowledge of nursing services, nursing administration, rehabilitation, and MDS processes.
• Manage, organize, and update care plans and documentation in the EMR system.
• Conduct in-service training for nursing staff on care plans and EMR usage.
• Monitor EMR records for consistency and accuracy.
• Identify issues and communicate them to the DON and relevant staff.
• Maintain a personable, professional relationship with residents, families, and staff.
