Job summary

Mercy Housing in Savannah is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the Property Manager in day-to-day operations of the Rose of Sharon affordable housing community. You will assist with resident accounts, leasing from application to move-in, and coordinating resident engagement with the front desk and maintenance teams.

The role requires knowledge of HUD and Tax Credit programs, strong customer service, and the ability to work on-site, with occasional after-hours support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of administrative, office, accounting, or customer service experience.
• Knowledge of local and federal housing laws.
• Knowledge of real estate property management applications.
• Experience with rent collection and ledger maintenance.
• Ability to work on-site and occasionally after-hours.

Responsibilities

• Enter data in resident accounts receivable ledgers.
• Assist with resident records documentation.
• Collect rent and other income and make deposits.
• Assist with leasing from application to move-in.
• Respond to customer service requests.
• May work outside normal hours to support the property.

The successful Assistant Property Manager will work with the Property Manager in the day-to-day operations of the property. Strong understanding of HUD and Tax Credit experience are essential. You'll provide customer service to residents and visitors, and take the initiative and provide direction to staff. Work with the Front Desk and Maintenance site teams and coordinate resident engagement and events.

This is an on-site position. Rose of Sharon is an affordable housing apartment community in Savannah.

Pay: $20-21/hour, dependent on experience.

Duties

• Enters data in resident accounts receivable ledgers.

• Assists with the leasing process from initial application to move-in.
• Responds to customer services requests.
• May work outside normal business hours to respond to the needs of the property.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of administrative, office, accounting, or customer service experience.
• Property management work experience and knowledge of applicable local and federal housing laws.
• Knowledge of real estate property management applications.

• Adhere to complex regulatory requirements.
• Maintain resident account receivable ledgers under supervision.
