About the Opportunity
WinnCompanies is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to join our team at Sen Lake, a 91-unit multifamily affordable residential community located in Oakland, CA.
In this role, you will support the Property Manager in the day-to-day property management operations of the community, including leasing, resident relations, rent collections, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and property administration. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in multifamily housing and property management.
Please note that the pay range for this position is $26.72 - $40.38 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, the selected candidate will typically work: Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day operations of a multifamily residential community, ensuring excellent resident service and operational efficiency.
- Assist with leasing activities, including apartment tours, application processing, recertifications, and lease renewals.
- Monitor rent collections, post payments, enforce collection policies, and assist with delinquency management.
- Respond to resident concerns and help maintain positive resident relations and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare financial reports, resident correspondence, recertification notices, and other property documentation.
- Process purchase orders, invoices, and accounts payable transactions.
- Assist with property operations, financial administration, and occupancy-related activities.
- Serve as acting Property Manager in the Manager's absence, as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Up to 1 year of experience in property management, leasing, customer service, administrative support, or a related field.
- Up to 1 year of supervisory, team lead, leadership, or mentoring experience.
- A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based business applications.
- Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the property management industry.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse residents, colleagues, and vendors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree.
- Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) experience.
- 1-2 years of Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) experience.
- Experience with Yardi, RealPage, or other property management software.
- Experience in multifamily housing, affordable housing, LIHTC, HUD, or Section 8 environments.
- Knowledge of leasing, resident retention, and property operations.
