Avenue5 Residential is seeking an Assistant Property Manager in Washington, DC. The role supports the property manager in daily operations, lease administration, and resident relations to ensure smooth community experience.

The position requires 2–3 years of property management experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a valid driver’s license. Yardi Voyager experience is preferred; bachelor’s degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of property management experience required.
• Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities required.
• Real estate license preferred or may be required in some locations.
• Prior experience with Yardi Voyager or similar system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the property manager in day-to-day property operations.
• Oversee resident satisfaction, retention, and full lifecycle activities.
• Maintain accounts receivable and rent related tasks.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly financial and leasing reports.
• Audit lease records and notices for accuracy.
• Process evictions and notices, attend court hearings as needed.
• Lease apartments and assist with move-ins/move-outs.
• Train staff on leasing, marketing, and maintenance operations.
• Assist with resident relations and issue resolution.
• Step in for the property manager in their absence.
