Job summary

Barrett & Stokely, a real estate investment and management firm, is hiring for a Full Time Leasing/Property Support role at River Crossing in Indianapolis, IN. You will assist the Property Manager, handle rent collection, renewals, and lease drafting, and ensure move-in readiness and compliance with Fair Housing laws.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and 2 years in multifamily management, leasing, sales, or customer service, with proficiency in MS Office and Entrata.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Two years related experience in multi-family management, leasing, sales or customer service, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of multifamily property management practices, Fair Housing laws, maintenance, leasing, rent collection, evictions, accounting, safety, and software.
• Strong customer service abilities and verbal/written communication skills.
• Must be a self-starter with excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
• MS Office proficiency (Word/Excel) and Entrata software experience.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Valid driver's license preferred; reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist Property Manager in leading staff to deliver high level resident service.
• Collect and post rent payments; process late payments; issue late notices; initiate eviction when needed.
• Assist with financial and operational reporting.
• Generate renewal offers, track offers, and draft leases after return.
• Inspect move-in units for readiness and complete paperwork.
• Input daily resident information from walk-ins, moves, and conditions.
• Comply with local/state/federal laws including Fair Housing.
