Job summary

John M. Corcoran & Company in Whitman, MA, is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support daily operations of our community.

You will assist with marketing and leasing, resident relations, affordable housing compliance, and administrative tasks to ensure a well-run property and positive resident experience. You’ll coordinate leasing, rent collection, move-ins/outs, and reporting while upholding Fair Housing regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience.
• 3+ years of property management experience.
• Experience with affordable housing and knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Yardi.

Responsibilities

• Support leasing and marketing efforts to maintain target occupancy
• Lease apartments, oversee leasing activity, and approve rental applications
• Serve as a point of contact for residents, addressing questions and concerns
• Coordinate resident activities and work with community partners as needed
• Collect rent, manage resident accounts, and assist with delinquency follow-up
• Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, inspections, and maintenance activity
• Maintain accurate resident files and prepare required reports
