Job summary

Chavezfoundation seeks an Assistant Property Manager to support the manager of residential real estate properties. The role involves preparing leases, collecting rents, managing bookkeeping and coordination of maintenance and vendor services.

Occasional travel to outlying facilities is required, and you will assist with tenant issues and evictions in line with supervisor guidance. Experience in property management (2–5 years preferred) and knowledge of Fair Housing and basic accounting are

Qualifications

• Must have strong property management skills and ability to assist with daily operations.
• 2–5 years of assistant property management experience preferred.
• Fair housing, Tax Credit and basic accounting skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares lease or rental agreements and collects rents and impounds.
• Handles bookkeeping and debits/credits for property expenses.
• Coordinates maintenance, staff and vendor activities for the property.
• Assists with evictions in accordance with court orders and supervisor directions.
• Travels to outlying facilities as needed.
• Communicates with residents and coordinates transfers of service.
