Job summary

The Cesar-Chavez Foundation is seeking an assistant property manager to support the management of residential real estate. Responsibilities include preparing leases, handling bookkeeping, and coordinating maintenance with staff and vendors.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares lease or rental agreements and collects rents and impounds.
• Handles electronic and manual bookkeeping functions, or credits renter accounts for receipts and debits accounts for disbursements such as upkeep and maintenance costs for assigned property.
• Arranges for alterations to, or maintenance, upkeep, or reconditioning of property as appropriate. Manages daily operations, site staff and vendors.
• Purchases supplies and equipment for use on property.
• Coordinates moving, inspections, dealing with tenant issues and related items.
• Assists with eviction of tenants in compliance with court order and directions from supervisor.
