Job summary

Drucker + Falk in Richmond, VA seeks an Assistant Property Manager to support daily property operations, leasing and resident relations. You will handle move-ins/outs, process applications, maintain files and coordinate with the Property Manager.

The role requires customer service experience and knowledge of apartment rental practices, with strong communication and organizational skills. A valid driver's license and CAM/ARM preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ work experience in retail sales or customer related service.
• Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of apartment rental and collection practices.
• Excellent customer service, sales and marketing skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to work well with others and independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Current driver’s licenses.

Responsibilities

• In absence of Property Manager, APM oversees office and handles all monies for community; ensures daily bank deposits.
• Show apartments and process applications for prospective residents.
• Coordinate move-ins and move-outs.
• Prepare and maintain resident files.
• Initiate lease renewals and forward to Property Manager for approval.
• Process maintenance service requests.
• Maintain resident relations.
• Prepare weekly traffic/renewal status reports.
• Keep advertising and websites up to date.
• Cooperate with other departments.
• Perform outreach marketing as directed.
• Follow-up on rental leads/visitors.
• Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
