Assistant Property Manager/Leasing Consultant

Habitat America seeks an experienced, professional full-time Assistant Manager/Leasing Consultant in Lexington Park, Maryland, for multiple communities. Experience in affordable housing is preferred. Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Tax Credit, LIHTC, HUD, EIV, and related regulations.
• Review move-in eligibility for approval.
• Process Tax Credit certifications, HUD annual and interim certifications timely and accurately.
• Collaborate with the Compliance Department to meet LIHTC, HUD, DHCD, and investor expectations.
• Prepare tenant documents for audits and reports, reconcile discrepancies, and complete required paperwork.
• Maintain strong administrative and organizational skills to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exhibit superior communication skills and a goal-oriented approach.
• Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Yardi related to compliance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Understanding of HUD (Project-Based Section 8) and LIHTC programs is a plus.
• At least 2 years of experience in affordable housing.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.

• Experience with Yardi software related to compliance.
