WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Legacy Residential is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager for a 500 unit residential property Located in PG County.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Manager with collection and processing of all payments and purchase orders.
  • Assist with creating monthly reports including but not limited renewals, rents, leasing, resident retention programs and maintenance.
  • Ensure resident ledgers are accurate and be able to explain issues with lease holders
  • Ensure tenant contact list and leases are updated and current
  • Assist in validating prospect/resident rental eligibility using designated background verification process.
  • Responsible for attending staff meetings and taking minutes of the meeting if necessary.
  • Build relationships with vendors and handle vendor statements for correct billing.
  • Serve as primary contact for (and communicate regularly with) service providers, including maintenance, security personnel, contractors, etc.
  • Have a “customer first” attitude and ensure issued ae resolved timely and with professionalism.
  • Attend court hearings if required.
  • Assist in the follow up of delinquencies.
  • Process security deposit refunds.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments.
  • Back up approval in Property Managers absence on all paperwork and verification.
  • Assist in supervising leasing and operations in the office, as well as provide training and instruction to the staff as to the proper method of handling office administration.
  • Review and check accuracy of resident information including resident account setup, while maintaining accuracy of information (example names, lease dates and billing).
  • Enter data into the property management software; input work orders, follow up om work orders with tenants and/or service providers as necessary, and review work order reports monthly with PM
  • Inspect apartments as needed.
  • Assist with marketing and follow up of the leasing team unit inspections, thank you notes, approval letters, phone calls and lease signing schedules.
  • Performs all activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, and lease renewals as needed.
  • Record all resident correspondences.
  • Maintain renewal records in computer
  • Miscellaneous property management support
  • Assist Manager with any requested work to be done on the property.
  • Be adaptive to different property management tasks and responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in multifamily property management
  • Proficiency in collections and property-level accounting
  • Self-motivated and effective team leadership
  • History of maintaining low delinquency
  • Proficiency in Yardi and basic computer software
  • Basic Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws pertaining to property management
