Job Title: Assistant Property Manager / Leasing Agent

Position Overview:
The Assistant Property Manager / Leasing Agent is responsible for managing leasing, resident relations, and day-to-day operations for our 3 multifamily properties with 300 units total. This hybrid role combines leasing agent duties with assistant property management tasks, working alongside the Property Manager to ensure smooth property operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Leasing & Resident Relations

  • Generate leads and maintain online property listings.
  • Conduct property tours, process applications, and manage the lease signing process.
  • Coordinate move-ins/outs, inspections, and unit readiness.
  • Build strong relationships with residents and promote retention programs.
  • Collect rent payments and fees, ensuring accurate processing.

Property Management & Maintenance

  • Assist in daily property operations, coordinating with maintenance and porter teams.
  • Perform weekly property walks and support maintenance needs.
  • Assist with resident audits, renewals, and move-out inspections.
  • Process invoices, rent checks, and security deposits.
  • Prepare and submit move-in packets and monthly AR reports.
  • Conduct market surveys to assess local rental trends.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Organized, reliable, and able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in leasing and property management required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; property management software knowledge is a plus including Yardi and Rent Cafe.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Compensation

  • Base salary starting from $50,000 annually
  • $250 commission per lease
