Job summary

General Services Corporation invites an Assistant Property Manager to join our Brandon, FL team. You will assist with all aspects of our apartment community, supervise leasing and maintenance staff, and help manage budgets, occupancy, and resident satisfaction under senior leadership.

You will collaborate with Marketing to craft business plans, oversee rent collection, prepare weekly/monthly reports, and conduct on-site inspections to ensure quality move-ins and move-outs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Assistant Property Management role.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with planning and maintaining budgets.
• Systems knowledge to include MRI or other Property Management Software.
• Willingness to learn, grow professionally, and work collaboratively with a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of an apartment community and provide welcoming and excellent customer service to residents, prospects, staff, and vendors.
• Assist with leading, guiding, and supervising leasing and maintenance staff as they serve residents.
• Partner with senior leadership to maintain budgets, occupancy, and resident satisfaction goals.
• Collaborate with Marketing to cultivate business plans and marketing strategies.
• Oversee rent collection and work to reduce delinquencies.
• Complete weekly and monthly reports while monitoring occupancy, expenses and delinquencies.
• Conduct on-site inspections of model units, grounds and maintenance.
• Manage move-outs and move-ins for efficiency and quality.
• Oversee capital improvements with external vendors and communicate with staff and residents.
• Leasing apartments at optimum rent levels and keeping vacancies to a minimum.
• Assist with Leasing Office Operations.
