Job summary

The Caton Companies is hiring an Assistant Property Manager for a conventional apartment community in Richmond, VA. The role supports the Property Manager to maximize income, minimize expenses, and preserve property value while providing professional service to residents.

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; two years of college or comparable work experience; one year of property management experience. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree and five years of property management experience.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two years of college or comparable work experience in apartment property management
• One year as property or assistant/manager experience preferred
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree, Five years’ experience in property management

Responsibilities

• Participate in creating a management plan for the property (yearly).
• Assist the Property Manager in creating the annual budget.
• Maintain resident ledger accounts with accurate postings and collections.
• Address resident issues promptly and professionally.
• Assist PM with maintaining on-site records and leases.
• Support marketing and leasing activities as needed.
