Management Services Corporation (MSC) is hiring an Assistant Property Manager for a conventional apartment community in Richmond, VA. The role supports the Property Manager in maximizing income, minimizing expenses, and preserving property value while delivering professional service to residents.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of college or relevant work experience.
• One year property/assistant management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Five years in property management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in creating a management plan for the property (yearly).
• Assist the Property Manager in creating the annual budget.
• Maintain resident ledger accounts and post transactions accurately.
• Follow banking procedures and ensure timely deposits.
• Address resident issues promptly and professionally.
• Update inventory of office and leasing forms, equipment and supplies.
• Plan and manage apartment turnover processes and procedures.
• Assist with security deposit returns and on-site records.
• Ensure maintenance requests are followed up and completed.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Two years of college or comparable work experience

One year as a property or assistant manager

Bachelor’s Degree

Five years’ experience in property management
