Job summary

Garden House of Maywood is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the Property Manager in managing affordable housing communities. You will handle leasing, resident relations, regulatory compliance, rent collection, and office administration.

The role requires 1–3 years in affordable housing or leasing, strong communication, and proficiency with OneSite and MS Office. A valid driver’s license is preferred for travel between sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of experience in affordable housing, leasing, or site operations.
• Familiarity with HUD, LIHTC, or other compliance programs preferred.
• Good Moral Character.

Responsibilities

• Step into site leadership responsibilities when the Property Manager is unavailable.
• Provide onboarding, orientation, and training support for site staff.
• Deliver responsive service to residents regarding inquiries, complaints, and maintenance needs.
• Show units and market the property to prospective residents.
• Collect and record rent payments, notices, and maintain ledgers.
• Respond to inquiries and manage front desk coverage.
• Maintain organized records and coordinate vendor work.
