Description

Peabody Properties, Inc. seeks an Assistant Property Manager for a mixed-use (market, LIHTC, Project-Based Section 8) 240-unit apartment community in Brighton, MA.

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in all aspects of site operations, rent collection, work order processing, apartment turnovers, LIHTC, and Project-Based Section 8 program compliance, as well as resident relations. Duties include, but are not limited to, annual and interim recertifications, property inspections, and administrative functions.

Requirements of the Position
  • Knowledge of affordable housing programs, including LIHTC, federally-assisted housing, and all relevant regulations;
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize;
  • Strong administrative, organizational, computer, marketing, and resident relations skills;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills;
  • Initiative and self-motivation;
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED with at least 3 years of related property management experience, including recertification and clerical support;
  • Proficiency with OneSite, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel;
  • Experience with LIHTC and Project-Based Section 8 programs;
  • Strong communication, organizational, writing, and computer skills.
