Job summary

First Onsite - US in Indianapolis seeks an Assistant Project Manager to join our restoration team. You’ll work with leadership to evaluate, develop, and execute scopes of work while keeping projects on track and within budget.

You’ll manage schedules, change orders, billing, and daily site documentation, while supporting crews and ensuring safety, quality, and timely client communication. This is a hands-on, on-site role with growth potential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the restoration/construction industry, with experience/knowledge in water, flood, fire, smoke, mold, asbestos, and rebuild remediation.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Work with leadership to understand, evaluate, develop, and execute the scope of work
• Solicit, receive, and approve proposals from subcontractors to perform work within budget
• Prepare project schedule, including job crew and sub-contractors schedule, according to the scope of work
• Manage, support, and assist job crews
• Fill in as needed when additional responsibilities/tasks need to be completed, including physical labor
• Create and maintain job activity paperwork and jobsite inventories
• Maintain a daily log of conditions, activities, communications, and notable events
• Prepare reports, documentation, and other job-related administrative documents
• Proactively monitor and provide updates when there is risk of a project not meeting expected budget, gross profit margin, or schedule
• Manage receipt and approval of change orders
• Perform or ensure execution of daily job site safety meetings
• Arrange for permits, as needed
• Accurately maintain daily reports, daily sign-in timesheets, equipment records, moisture maps, and material sheets
• Manage a defined scope of work and review opportunities for change orders
• Assist with creating a project schedule
• Issue work orders to subcontractors and manage their scope of work/change orders
• Perform billing reviews to ensure accuracy of data entered
• Available 24/7
