Job summary

First Onsite is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Illinois to support leadership in evaluating, developing, and executing scopes of work across multiple restoration projects. You will review subcontractor proposals, prepare schedules, manage budgets and change orders, and maintain accurate documentation to keep projects on track.

The role requires 2+ years in restoration/construction, a high school diploma or equivalent (degree preferred), and a valid driver''s license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in restoration/construction, with water, flood, fire, mold, and rebuild remediation.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree is preferred.
• Valid driver''s license required.

Responsibilities

• Work with leadership to understand, evaluate, develop, and execute the scope of work.
• Solicit, receive, and approve proposals from subcontractors to perform work within budget.
• Prepare project schedule, including job crew and sub-contractors schedule, according to the scope of work.
• Manage, support, and assist job crews.
• Fill in as needed when additional responsibilities/tasks need to be completed, including physical labor
• Create and maintain job activity paperwork and jobsite inventories
• Maintain a daily log of conditions, activities, communications, and notable events
• Prepare reports, documentation, and other job-related administrative documents
• Proactively monitor and provide updates when there is risk of a project not meeting expected budget, gross profit margin, or schedule
• Manage receipt and approval of change orders
• Perform or ensure execution of daily job site safety meetings
• Arrange for permits, as needed
• Accurately maintain daily reports, daily sign-in timesheets, equipment records, moisture maps, and material sheets
• Manage a defined scope of work and review opportunities for change orders
• Assist with creating a project schedule
• Issue work orders to subcontractors and manage their scope of work/change orders
• Perform billing reviews to ensure accuracy of data entered
