Position: Assistant Project Manager, Land Development

The Viera Company is seeking an Assistant Project Manager, Land Development to support the successful completion of projects shaping our communities. In this role, you will assist the Senior Manager of Land Development by managing project timelines, budgets, and documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop detailed project plans and schedules, assist in budget development, and coordinate efforts with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to meet milestones.
  2. Manage project documentation, including permits, contracts, and meeting notes; prepare and distribute project status reports, updates, and agendas to stakeholders.
  3. Assist in the permitting and approval process by obtaining necessary documents and liaising with local agencies.
  4. Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and support inspections, addressing on-site challenges collaboratively.
  5. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to resolve questions and concerns.
  6. Identify and escalate potential risks or challenges to the Senior Manager, and develop procedures to support problem-solving and ensure smooth project execution.
  7. Collaborate closely with the Senior VP on assigned projects.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in land development, homebuilding, construction, or project management.
  3. Valid Driver’s License required.
  4. PE and/or PMP certification is preferred but not mandatory.
