Position Overview

We seek a Civil Engineer/Project Manager to oversee planning, design, entitlement, and construction of various projects. Responsibilities include ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and managing staff, consultants, and stakeholders. The role offers flexibility to work from our Grand Rapids or Scottsdale offices, or remotely in Idaho and Northern Arizona markets. The ideal candidate will be based in Post Falls, Idaho.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and manage civil engineering projects such as land/site development, roads, water supply, sewer, and drainage systems.
• Prepare and review project proposals, contracts, budgets, schedules, specifications, drawings, and reports.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, regulators, and public agencies.
• Monitor project progress, quality, and performance; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Serve as the primary contact for project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Foster positive relationships, manage expectations, and provide regular updates.
• Identify and mitigate risks, manage changes and conflicts.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance and support field staff.
• Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum 7+ years of civil engineering and project management experience, preferably in land development.
• Proven success in delivering complex projects on scope, schedule, and budget.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, and similar software.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
