Job summary

DP Electric, a premier commercial electrical contractor, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager based in Arizona to support project managers on fast-turn special projects and oversee smaller jobs independently.

You will scope work from field visits, price projects, and coordinate with general contractors and trade partners while mentoring engineers and growing toward running your own book of work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4 years of electrical construction experience, including hands-on field installation.
• Demonstrated ability to scope work from a site walk without complete drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers across the full project lifecycle, from the initial client walk-through through closeout.
• Lead smaller projects under a project manager's oversight when assigned.
• Assist with estimating new proposals and change orders.
• Prepare Method of Procedures documents that give crews clear execution guidelines.
• Walk jobs with clients to scope work, identify constraints, and visualize the install before drawings exist.
• Build material and labor takeoffs and support proposal pricing.
• Identify constraints and existing conditions that affect cost and sequence.
• Track project timelines and progress against milestones, and address issues before they affect the schedule.
• Support project billing and budgeting, and process time and material vouchers.
• Review purchase orders, submittals, and contracts, and maintain the change order log.
• Coordinate with general contractors and trade partners, mentor project engineers, and conduct project meetings.
