Job summary

Bluewater Builders seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in administering contracts, submittals, procurement, and project scheduling to deliver high-quality, profitable projects in a safe environment.

You will lead coordination with clients, architects, subcontractors, and vendors; maintain baseline schedules, generate logs, track RFIs and changes, and help prepare closeout manuals while upholding Bluewater’s core values.

Qualifications

• Degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
• Understand construction terms, estimating, purchasing, scheduling and planning concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Procore.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project management activities including contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, and schedule updates.
• Maintain logs for subcontracts, purchase orders, and RFIs; track permitting requirements and approvals.
• Coordinate meetings with subcontractors; support project team with closeout manuals and documentation.
• Assist in preconstruction tasks: assembling bid documents, reviewing specs, takeoffs, and subcontractor bids.
• Support site safety and quality control programs in collaboration with the Project Manager and team.
