Job summary

Precision Architectural Glass & Metal seeks an assistant project manager to oversee documentation support and ensure projects meet safety, time, and contract requirements. The role emphasizes clear communication, organization, and coordination with vendors, owners, and internal teams.

The position involves preparing submittals, tracking logs, and supporting cost projections while fostering relationships with subcontractors nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication is required.
• Experience with construction documentation and coordination is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide input from historical jobs and experiences.
• Solicit vendor and subcontractor pricing and manage relations.
• Oversee submittals and ensure they meet project specs and owner reps.
• Maintain submittal logs, electronic folders, and internal logs.
• Prepare daily reports and distribute to appropriate personnel.
• Draft and negotiate vendor/subcontractor purchase orders.
• Retrieve and submit material certifications.
• Identify and submit samples per contract specs.
• Oversee collection of outstanding receivables and timely billing.
• Assist with EEO documentation and monthly reporting to owner.
• Retrieve certified payrolls and EEO forms for reporting.
• Coordinate material procurement and delivery logistics.
• Prepare RFIs and distribute to relevant personnel.
• Administer subcontractor qualification processes.
• Draft and negotiate change orders with supervision.
• Track project dates and update schedules (P6).
• Assist with cost projections and project closeout.
