Job summary

Glassco is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support commercial glazing projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will coordinate documentation, assist with planning and scheduling, and ensure accuracy of drawings and submittals.

Role emphasizes organization, communication, and follow-through, with office-based work and periodic jobsite visits. Training and mentorship from experienced PMs are provided.

Qualifications

• College degree in CM/Engineering preferred or equivalent field experience.
• 1–3 years in construction, glazing, or related trade preferred.
• Strong organizational/time management and communication skills.
• Ability to read/interpret drawings and specs (preferred).
• Proficient with MS Office; experience with construction software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination and documentation.
• Support planning, scheduling, and material tracking.
• Review drawings, specs, and submittals for accuracy and constructability.
• Coordinate shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders.
• Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding materials and lead times.
• Track project costs, labor, and production with management.
• Participate in jobsite meetings and relay updates to internal teams.
• Assist with closeout documentation including warranties and as-builts.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation systems.

Position Overview

Glassco is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial glazing projects. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in construction project management while working closely with experienced Project Managers, Estimators, Foremen, and field crews.

The Assistant Project Manager will help ensure projects are properly coordinated from preconstruction through closeout, with a strong focus on organization, communication, and follow-through.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination and documentation
• Support project planning, scheduling, and material tracking
• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and constructability
• Help coordinate shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders
• Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding materials and lead times
• Track project costs, labor, and production in coordination with management
• Participate in jobsite meetings and communicate updates to internal teams
• Assist with project closeout documentation, including warranties and as-builts
• Maintain organized project files and documentation systems

• Ability to travel to local job sites as needed
• Must be able to work standard first-shift hours
