Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in safety, planning, scheduling, cost monitoring, reporting, budgeting, estimating, change orders, and billing for utility construction projects.

You will help develop systems, track key metrics, prepare proposals, manage job structures, and assist in field handoffs to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.

Qualifications

• > Proficiency in project management support for construction projects.
• > Experience in a utility construction environment is preferred.
• > BS/BA in a related field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• > Assist with developing systems for proper cost reporting and budgeting.
• > Track project metrics to optimize performance and reduce costs.
• > Help prepare proposals and estimates, including drawings take-offs.
• > Set up project structure with safety, scheduling, and cost controls.
• > Coordinate with purchasing for material orders and submittals.
• > Provide weekly project progress updates to the Project Manager.
• > Assist in handling change orders and monthly financial updates.
