Job summary

PAR Western Line Contractors, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Escondido, CA. The role supports the Project Manager with administrative, technical, financial, and resource management tasks from bid to close-out.

You’ll handle data management in core systems, learn business processes, and collaborate with safety personnel to ensure OSHA compliance. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 Year’s Construction Science, Project Management, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering, or similar related degree or equivalent
• Entry level knowledge of project management, controls, budgeting, estimating, schedules, and safety
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Visio, Sharepoint) and able to learn ERP tools
• Ability to travel and work on project locations with valid driver’s license and clean MVR

Responsibilities

• Work with safety personnel to ensure OSHA compliance and training
• Set up and maintain project documents across systems (Word, Excel, Project, Sharepoint, Primavera P6, EcoSys, Quickbase, InEight)
• Define problems, gather information, and recommend resolutions
• Support pre-construction efforts including bid prep, contract review, and execution planning
• Build and manage relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors; schedule subs and vendors
• Monitor project schedule and budget; review cost reports and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Oversee invoicing and payment applications; review labor/material/subcontractor reporting
• Lead project meetings (agendas and minutes) daily, weekly, monthly
• Develop and track change orders with clients/subcontractors
• Take on additional responsibilities as directed by management
