Job summary

Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our Los Angeles area office in El Segundo. This role supports the Project Manager in contracts, submittals, procurement, cost tracking, and scheduling to ensure safe, high-quality, on-time project delivery.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of construction office or field experience, plus 1+ year of supervisory experience. Proficiency with Constructware, P6, Timberline, or JD Edwards is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 5 years of construction office or field experience in a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager role.
• 1+ year of direct supervisory experience.
• Experience with project manager software (Constructware, P6, Timberline, etc.).
• Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, labor reports.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, project financials, set-up and updates, and schedule to ensure projects are completed in a quality, profitable, safe, sustainable, and timely manner.
• Maintain focus on meeting/exceeding customer needs and expectations by supporting the Project Manager in all aspects of assigned projects.
• Promote customer and community relations.
• Foster positive culture, leadership and employee development.
