Job summary

Burford’s Construction LLC in Raleigh, NC seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support civil utility projects, assisting with planning, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and daily coordination.

You will work with project teams, subcontractors, clients, and field personnel, maintain records, track costs, and help keep work on schedule while upholding safety standards; travel to job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, utility operations, project coordination, estimating or related fields preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software is a plus.
• Software used includes Onscreen Takeoff, Procore, Excel, Google Earth.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with planning, execution, and closeout of utility construction projects.
• Support project estimating, budgeting, and cost tracking activities.
• Coordinate schedules, resources, permits, and project documentation.
• Monitor project progress and help identify and resolve issues affecting schedule or budget.
• Work closely with field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, contracts, and change orders.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and project specifications.
• Participate in site visits and travel as required to support ongoing projects.
