Job summary

Pike Corporation in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support civil construction projects in the utility sector. You will assist with planning, estimating, budgeting, and scheduling, coordinating with field teams, subcontractors, and clients to keep work on schedule and within safety guidelines.

The role offers hands-on project exposure, travel as needed, and the chance to grow within a respected utility construction team.

Qualifications

Experience in construction, utility projects or coordination roles.
Strong organizational and communication skills required.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with CM tools is a plus.
Driver's license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

Assist Project Managers with planning, execution, and closeout of utility projects.
Support estimating, budgeting, cost tracking, and scheduling activities.
Coordinate schedules, permits, resources, and documentation.
Monitor progress and help resolve schedule or budget issues.
Collaborate with field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
Maintain records, reports, contracts, and change orders.
Ensure safety standards and project specs compliance.
Attend site visits as required.
