Job summary

Burford’s Construction LLC seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support civil utility construction projects. You will assist with planning, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and daily coordination to ensure safe, efficient, and on-schedule project delivery.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational and communication skills, and is eager to grow a career in construction management while coordinating with project teams, subcontractors, clients, and field personnel.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, utility operations, project coordination, estimating, or related fields preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with planning, execution, and closeout of utility construction projects.
• Support project estimating, budgeting, and cost tracking activities.
• Coordinate schedules, resources, permits, and project documentation.
• Monitor project progress and help identify and resolve issues affecting schedule or budget.
• Work closely with field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, contracts, and change orders.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and project specifications.
• Participate in site visits and travel as required to support ongoing projects.
