Job summary

Burford's Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support civil utility construction projects. You will assist with planning, budgeting, scheduling, and day-to-day coordination to keep work on track and safe.

The role emphasizes strong organizational and communication skills, with travel to project sites as required. Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with construction software is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, utility operations, project coordination, estimating, or related fields.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; construction management software is a plus.
• Software used: Onscreen Takeoff, Procore, Excel, Google Earth.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with planning, execution, and closeout of utility construction projects.
• Support project estimating, budgeting, and cost tracking activities.
• Coordinate schedules, resources, permits, and project documentation.
• Monitor project progress and help identify and resolve issues affecting schedule or budget.
• Work closely with field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, contracts, and change orders.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and project specifications.
• Participate in site visits and travel as required to support ongoing projects.
