Job summary

EDIFICE Construction in Raleigh, NC, seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

You will work alongside Project Managers and field teams to ensure projects meet safety, schedule, and budget targets while delivering high quality results. Candidates should have 2–5 years in commercial construction and a related degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Architecture, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably with a general contractor.
• Understanding of construction methods, scheduling, estimating, contracts, and project financials.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and other project documents.
• Experience supporting RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, pay applications, and closeout documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Microsoft Project or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing commercial construction projects.
• Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout.
• Track project schedules, budgets, commitments, and progress.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to support project execution.
• Support procurement, subcontract administration, and material purchasing.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate updates to the project team.
• Promote quality, safety, and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of successful project delivery.
