Job summary

Primoris Energy Services in North Carolina is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support mechanical and civil construction projects across the Southeast. The role blends project coordination, procurement oversight, and field exposure to ensure safe, on-time delivery within budget.

You will work with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients, manage submittals, RFIs, cost and schedules, and support closeout. Travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• 3–8 years of experience in construction or project management support roles.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Willingness to travel and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Develop, review, and manage submittals in accordance with contract documents and drawings.
• Initiate, track, and manage RFIs; coordinate design clarifications with engineers, clients, and vendors.
• Support development and maintenance of project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and progress reporting.
