Job summary

Hedrick Brothers Construction in West Palm Beach, FL seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager through the full project lifecycle. You will handle submittals, RFIs, change documentation, and pay applications while developing toward independent project management.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and proficiency with Procore and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required; 5+ years preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Strong organization, communication, and follow-through with growth mindset.
• Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10-Hour certificate required; OSHA 30-Hour preferred; First Aid/CPR preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Procore.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain project safety and quality standards; ensure client satisfaction per GRIT values.
• Read and follow owner contracts; assist in managing budget, plans, and specs in Procore.
• Assist PM with changes to contract documents; manage PCOs, CORs, change orders, CCAs, ACAs, direct purchases, bonds, and warranties.
• Assist in creating and updating the project schedule.
• Prepare and submit monthly pay applications and subcontractor payment requests when needed.
