Job summary

Steel Encounters in Boise, Idaho is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support large commercial architectural façade projects. This in-person role requires strong communication, scheduling, and document control to keep projects on track from submittals to closeout.

As an ESOP employee-owned company, you will collaborate with a diverse team and contribute to a stimulating work environment. Proficiency with MS Office, Autodesk suite, and BlueBeam is preferred, along with knowledge of glazing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of Autodesk suites and BlueBeam.
• Interact positively and collaboratively with internal and external customers.
• Comprehends Architectural and Structural drawings for large commercial buildings.
• Reads and understands construction schedules and able to develop the steps involved in creating and maintaining schedules.
• Familiar with curtain wall, storefront, glass, wall panels, entrances and other building envelope systems and products.
• Intermediate knowledge of building codes related to glazing.

Responsibilities

• Front Line Communication: Maintain regular communication with customer and project team, including calls, emails, meeting minutes, reports and logs.
• Schedule: Assist PM and Scheduler in developing project schedules and tracking milestones.
• Submittals: Collect and submit complete product submittals per specs; coordinate with other departments; assemble final submission packages.
• RFIs: Write, resolve and process RFIs with Engineering, vendors, subs and customers.
• Document Control: Maintain architectural conformance documents post award and turnover; manage change documents.
• Procurement: Work with PM and Engineering to procure materials and place orders.
• Closeout: Submit closeout package including warranties, LEED, as-builts; manage Procore.
• All other duties as assigned.
