Job summary

International Erosion Control Association is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in San Antonio, TX, to support the Project Manager and Superintendent with planning, scheduling, coordination, and administration of construction projects. You may be assigned specific phases or components of a project.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards and client expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
  • Five years of construction/design/finance/project coordination/management experience.
  • At least two years with a commercial electrical contractor.
  • Proficient with CM and scheduling software, Word, Excel, and standard contract documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control and quality control.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, contracts and specs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with project teams, subs, vendors, and clients.
  • Healthcare/hospital project experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

A leading electrical contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join its team in San Antonio, Texas. With extensive experience supporting complex commercial and infrastructure projects, the organization is committed to delivering exceptional safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.



Position Description

The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager and Superintendent with the overall planning, scheduling, coordination, and administration of assigned construction projects. This individual may also be assigned responsibility for specific phases or components of a project.


Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Assistant Project Manager will help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to established quality standards and client expectations.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Review owner contracts and help ensure compliance with contractual requirements

  • Assist with developing master project schedules and quality control programs

  • Support the contract buyout process in accordance with company policies and established timelines

  • Assist with developing site-specific safety programs

  • Help create project-specific quality control plans

  • Assist with developing site logistics plans

  • Participate in and document the project punch list process

  • Coordinate and document owner training

  • Prepare operations and maintenance manuals, warranties, and closeout documentation

  • Assist with managing project costs against established budgets

  • Manage and communicate project schedule updates

  • Participate constructively in project planning meetings

  • Identify potential risks that could affect costs, schedules, safety, quality, or client satisfaction

  • Assist with preparing monthly project status reports and executive summaries

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and support communication among project stakeholders



Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of technical training and relevant experience

  • Minimum of five years of experience in construction, design, finance, project coordination, or management

  • At least two years of experience working for a commercial electrical contractor

  • Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and industry-standard contract documents

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of construction safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, and quality control

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, contracts, specifications, and other construction documents

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients

  • Big on candidates that have healthcare/hospital project experience.



Pay Range: from $80,000 to $95,000 with possible bonus,
