Job summary

BRG Advisors seeks a Project Manager to lead day-to-day management of major construction projects in San Antonio. You will drive delivery, budgets, schedules, QA/QC, safety, and client relationships to ensure excellence.

You will mentor high‑performance teams and collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and subs to navigate complex projects from preconstruction through completion, delivering value and quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in CM, Eng, Arch or related field.
  • 10+ years of related construction experience.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in reading and administering complex contract documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day management and execution of major projects.

Lead the Projects Shaping the Future of San Antonio

An elite, nationally recognized general contractor is expanding its presence in San Antonio, Texas, and is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its project leadership team.

This is an opportunity to work on some of the most advanced, technically complex, and prestigious construction projects in the country while partnering with some of the industry's most respected owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners.

The Project Manager will lead, direct, and coordinate the day-to-day management of major construction projects, taking ownership of project execution, financial performance, scheduling, quality, risk, client relationships, and team development.

The Opportunity

This role is designed for a construction professional who can operate at a high level while developing and leading a high-performance project team.

You will work closely with the Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, Superintendent, field leadership, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

The ideal candidate will become a trusted advisor to the client, while providing the leadership necessary to successfully navigate complex projects from preconstruction through completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day management and execution of assigned construction projects
  • Build, develop, coach, and mentor high-performance project teams
  • Manage assigned staff toward maximum job performance and long-term career development
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
  • Develop trusted-advisor relationships with key clients
  • Understand and administer contract and subcontract agreements
  • Provide leadership that positively influences project performance and team culture
  • Establish, maintain, and communicate the Master Project Schedule
  • Coordinate with preconstruction teams during project development and transition
  • Manage project budgets, financial reporting, forecasting, and overall financial performance
  • Interpret financial reports and take proactive measures to maintain project budget objectives
  • Manage the project's Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) program
  • Lead risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee and pricing decisions, and change management
  • Oversee field operations and engineering processes and procedures
  • Drive accountability for safety protocols throughout the project team
  • Coordinate with Finance on the Pay Application process and ensure timely payment
  • Conduct regular project and Operations Review Meetings to communicate project progress, risks, schedule, and financial performance to senior management
  • Promote innovative technologies and construction processes that improve project delivery and create competitive advantages
  • Support company initiatives focused on sustainability, innovation, diversity, and inclusion
  • Maintain the highest standards of professional accountability, integrity, and business ethics
What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is a proven construction Project Manager with the technical knowledge and leadership ability to successfully manage complex projects and high-performing teams.

Qualifications include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline preferred
  • 10+ years of related construction experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Thorough knowledge of construction costs, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, engineering, and accounting principles
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets and financial performance
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, subcontract agreements, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Advanced presentation and client-facing skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction project management applications
  • Ability to read, interpret, and administer complex contract documents
  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Strong understanding of project risk, safety, quality control, and compliance
