Responsibilities

• Oversee project planning and mobilization.
• Assist in preparing the CPM baseline and schedule updates.
• Manage timely and accurate Subcontractor Purchasing.
• Process submittals to meet project schedules.
• Expedite material deliveries from subcontractors and vendors.
• Manage the RFI Process for updated drawings.
• Chair subcontractor preconstruction meetings.
• Participate in safety planning and the SOS Program.
• Manage the S&P Quality Control Program.
• Assist in reviewing job cost reports and monthly analysis.
• Assist in preparing monthly draw requests.
• Process and approve monthly sub/vendor invoices.
• Control subcontractor’s Schedule of Values.
• Assist in the Change Order Process.
• Close out projects in compliance with documents.
• Ensure project management system implementation.

Overview

Due to Satterfield & Pontikes’ continued growth and expansion, we are adding an experienced Assistant Project Manager to our San Antonio team. Our projects typically range between $25-200 million and include K-12, Higher Education, Medical, Mixed Use, along with other types of vertical construction.

Requirements

• B.A. or B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management
• 3+ years of experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager on projects over $10 million.

The Role You Will Play

• Project planning and mobilization.
• Assistance in the preparation of the CPM baseline, monthly CPM schedule updates and narratives, and CPM fragments with changes and delays.
• Assist in timely and accurate Subcontractor Purchasing including the use of S&P bonding policy.
• Processing submittals to achieve the project schedule and the contract documents.
• Expediting the material deliveries of subcontractors and vendors.
• Management of the RFI Process and ensuring the drawings are posted and up to date.
• Chair, with the assistance of the Project Superintendent and Project Manager, subcontractor preconstruction meetings.
• Safety Planning and Performance – Participation in the SOS Program.
• Participation in and management of S&P Quality Control Program.
• Cost reports – assist in weekly and monthly review of job cost reports and preparation of monthly analysis.
• Progress payments – assisting in preparing and submitting the monthly draw requests consistent with the contract documents while achieving project revenue forecasts.
• Processing and approving the monthly sub/vendor invoices in both a timely and accurate fashion.
• Ensure strict control of subcontractor’s Schedule of Values and Supplier Forms to ensure that subcontractors/vendors do not get ahead on payments.
• Assisting in management of the Change Order Process, both prime and subcontractor.
• Closing out the project in compliance with contract documents.
• Ensure implementation of project management systems as outlined in the Operations and Procedures Manual.
