Job summary

Cornerstone Concilium, Inc. is seeking qualified professionals to lead WMATA transit and transportation projects. The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and at least five years of industry experience on multi-task contracts.

You will coordinate project scopes, schedules and budgets, oversee safety, and manage contractor relationships. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication, and a proven ability to drive on-time, on-budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum of five years of experience in transit and transportation projects.
• Minimum of three years working on a multiple task order contract.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Course completed.
• Knowledge of project management principles, coordination, review and technical management for task orders.
• Knowledge of project controls, including critical path method scheduling and budgetary control systems.
• Ability to organize and lead with minimal direction and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as WMATA's representative for the assigned task orders and oversee all project phases.
• Ensure all required tasks are performed on time and within budget.
• Engage in planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, safety, and coordination of subcontractors and internal staff.
• Manage stakeholder relationships.
• Develop project scopes, prepare reports, maintain schedules and budgets, and ensure quality reviews are complete.
• Identify scheduling and cost variances and recommend corrective actions for negative variances.
• Resolve issues with contractors promptly to keep the task order on schedule and within budget.

Background and experience required

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in transit and transportation projects.
• A minimum of three (3) years working on a multiple task order contract.
• Successful completion of the OSHA 10-Hour Construction Course.
• Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of project management, to coordinate, review and provide expert technical management for the assigned task orders.
• Knowledge of project controls, including critical path method scheduling and budgetary control systems.
• Ability to independently organize and carry out assignments with minimum direction, and to function effectively as a leader of highly professional personnel.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
