Job summary

Cornerstone Concilium, Inc. is seeking qualified inspectors to oversee civil, mechanical, structural, roofing, and general contracting work at WMATA construction sites.

You will ensure compliance with plans and specifications and coordinate with the WMATA management team. The role requires at least three years' inspection experience across multiple disciplines, five years supporting multiple tasks, and practical knowledge of engineering practices and codes, plus OSHA 30-Hour Construction

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience as a civil, mechanical, structural, roofing, and general contracting inspector.
• Minimum of five years' experience supporting multiple tasks.
• Practical knowledge of engineering and construction practices and related codes/regulations.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course completed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect civil, electrical/communications, mechanical, structural, roofing, and general contracting work to ensure compliance with plans and specs.
• Ensure work complies with approved plans, specifications, and procedures.
• Receive assignments from and report to the MATOC Program Manager, WMATA Task Manager, or designated representative.

• Perform construction inspection work related to civil, electrical/communications, mechanical, structural, roofing, and general contracting to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Ensure work is in compliance with approved plans and specifications of each project along with approved means, methods, and procedures.
• Receive assignments from and report to the MATOC Program Manager, WMATA Task Manager, or designated representative.

Background and experience required

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a civil, mechanical, structural, roofing, and general contracting inspector.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting multiple tasks.
• Practical knowledge of engineering and construction practices and disciplines, as well as of the codes and regulations relating to different technical areas of construction.
• Successful completion of the OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course.

Location: Assigned WMATA construction sites; nights and weekends as needed. Between projects, or when construction is cancelled for the day, report to WMATA New Carrollton Headquarters, New Carrollton, MD, or another WMATA building with approval
