Job summary

VCI Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager who will report to the division Project Manager and coordinate with supervisors and field crews. The role requires multi-tasking and strong organizational skills.

Ideal candidates are self-starters who are resourceful problem solvers with solid communication abilities. Experience in construction projects and familiarity with project controls is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years relevant experience in construction support.
• Pass background and drug screen.
• Strong organization, multitasking, and time management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of State, Highway Department & Municipal permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Reporting production, status of jobs and billing information.
• Construction Work Face Planning experience preferred.
• Project Controls 1–3 years of experience on construction projects is ideal.
• Detail-oriented and able to perform quality assurance audits on reporting.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are a MUST.
• Must be able to work independently to complete deliverables daily.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel) and data navigation for reporting with pivot tables.

What You’ll Do

• Reporting production, status of jobs and billing information

• Must be able to work independently to complete deliverables on a daily basis
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel) ability to navigate large amounts of data to support contractual reporting requirements quickly through pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.

What You’ll Need

• At least 1-3 years relevant experience
• Must be able to pass background and drug screen
• Good organization, multi-tasking, time management and documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience / knowledge of State, Highway Department & Municipal requirements for Tele-Communications construction permitting processes
• Working knowledge of traffic control permitting requirements
• Proficient with Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Demonstrate proficiency with Adobe Professional and Microsoft Project.
• Some knowledge of As Builts
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships at all levels.
• Ability to interact effectively with other team members
• Construction experience preferred but not required.

The wage range for Assistant Project Manager is $70,304.00 - $80,000.00
