TGAS is looking for 2 Architectural Assistant Project Managers (APM) to assist the Principals in Charge (PC) and/or Project Managers (PMs) in delivering architectural projects, often with a focus on design and technical aspects. APMs help ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction. Responsibilities include assisting with design development, document creation, and managing project phases. Through the direction of the PC/PM, APMs assist in managing project teams, coordinating with clients, consultants, and contractors, and helping to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.

Education Requirements
- Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) Degree (Required)
- Master of Architecture (A plus, but not required)
- LEED credential or a commitment to sustainability
- Professional registration (A plus, but not required)
Technical Skills/Knowledge
- Minimum of 5-8 years practical experience in Architecture (Required)
- Previous Designer experience in 1M – 30M project valuations: 2-3 years + (Preferred)
- Proficiency in Revit (Required)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Required)
- Building Information Modeling (BIM): 2 years + (Preferred)
- Sketchup: 2 years + (Preferred)
- Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills
- Analytical thinking and visualization skills: Understanding complex designs and identifying potential issues is crucial
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, track deadlines, and maintain project records.
- Project Management Skills: Understanding of project schedules, budgets, and risk management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced atmosphere

Key Role/Responsibility
- With direction from the PC/PM, assist in overseeing all aspects of a project, from initial concept to construction completion, translating planning concepts into comprehensible terms for clients, consultants, designers, and project team members; developing integrated, sustainable solutions to technical and design problems
- With direction from the PC/PM, assist in overseeing the development, modification, and/or review of documents to ensure design intent, including research of building materials and systems, material samples, equipment, and furnishings attuned to the project’s design program
- Create 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings through red-line mark ups, with an understanding of Revit & AutoCAD
- Assist in the review of building code analyses, ensuring projects comply with building codes, safety regulations, and other relevant standards
- Assist in the review of construction cost estimates and CSI format specifications
- Revise drawings and renderings, addressing design and construction issues responsively and accurately
- Review project budgets and schedules, helping to ensure projects stay within allocated resources and project timelines
- Assist the PC/PM by conducting on-site visits, documenting construction progress and identifying potential issues through site visit notes, emails, and photos, etc.
- Thoroughly document and maintain accurate records of project’s evolving status, contractual requirements, and change orders to the Client/Owner-Architect agreement in accordance with documents, AIA forms, and other avenues as structured in contract documents
- Utilize construction management software (i.e.: ProCore, CoConstruct, Projects, etc.), to respond promptly to Client/Owner and Contractor requests, coordinating with design team, including: Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineers, and others
