Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply in Frederick, MD is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to keep projects moving. You will chase submittals, track long‑lead items, maintain accurate files, and keep stakeholders informed so the Project Manager can focus on high‑value work.

You will work with project managers, outside sales, purchasing, vendors and customers, growing toward a Project Manager role as you learn product knowledge and processes, with a clear path to advancement and a structured development

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, order management, inside sales, or related roles.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams); ERP/project management systems a plus.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects across the full lifecycle from quote to delivery, maintaining files.
• Enter and update orders, releases, and project records in Eclipse and related systems.
• Track submittals, approvals, and long‑lead items; flag risks early.
• Communicate proactively with customers, sales, and suppliers to keep projects on track.
