Job summary

FiberTel, LLC, a subsidiary of Quanta Services, is hiring an Assistant Project Coordinator to support accounting for fiber optic construction projects in San Jose, CA. The role involves invoicing, PO tracking, vendor payments, data entry, and job cost reporting.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and looking to grow in accounting within telecom and construction. Pay ranges from $24-28/hr, DOE.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.
• Excellent data entry skills.
• Proficient in MS Office suite.
• High attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
• 1-2 years in construction accounting or related experience.
• Degree in accounting or related field currently in progress.

Responsibilities

• Enter and process vendor invoices into the accounting system.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Track project-related expenses and job costing information.
• Review invoices for accuracy and proper coding.
• Maintain vendor records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
• Generate reports related to project costs, budgets, and expenditures.
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and invoice discrepancies.
• Support Construction Managers and Project Managers with financial and administrative requests.
• Organize and maintain electronic and physical accounting records.
• Assist with payroll support and employee expense reporting, as needed.
• Perform additional administrative and accounting duties as assigned.
