Job summary

Lifeworks is seeking a Full-time Assistant Program Manager in Norwood, MA, to provide support for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The role includes hands-on care, communication with families, and development of individual support plans.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and experience working with individuals with ID/DD. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and 403(b) matching.

Qualifications

• Pass a fingerprint background check, CORI, DPPC and driving background checks.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Valid MAP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands‑on direct care (e.g., showering, toileting, shaving).
• Ensure the health and safety of the individuals.
• Provide education, training, and counseling.
• Communicate with family and guardians to facilitate programming.
• Develop, write and present annual ISPs.
• Perform case-management duties.
• Provide transportation to individuals as necessary.
• Schedule and supervise staff.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university
