Job summary

JACOBS seeks an Assistant Program Manager for the City of Centennial project in Colorado to support the Program Director in leading operations and maintenance deliverables, including safety, quality assurance, staff development, training, and procurement.

The role emphasizes collaboration with city staff and stakeholders, budget oversight, and planning improvements. Requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering/Transportation and 12+ years in the field; a Colorado PE is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Transportation, or Municipal Operations.
• Minimum 12 years related experience, including 5+ years in a managerial role.
• Strong interpersonal relationship skills with government officials, contractors, suppliers, and the public.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must possess and maintain a current valid State driver’s license with no major infractions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project team through all phases of program planning, mobilization, execution, and closeout.
• Ensure the project scope of work for Field Services, Street Rehabilitation, Streetlights, ROW, Engineering and Facilities is met per contract.
• Oversee safety, quality, risk management and procurement to meet OPS obligations for the City of Centennial.
• Support business development activities, including proposals and oral presentations.
• Manage the Field Services Division operations: street maintenance, vegetation control, snow/ice control, and emergency response planning.
